I'd be really grateful if people could recommend me some good films or documentaries which involved statistics? I watched 21 last night and it's wet my appetite 😜.
Hans Rosling (recently deceased) has a few talks on the net which are good. Moneyball, as mentioned by Daniella is probably the most realistic.
If you want crazy statistics mentions in movies:
- "Equilibrium" - good B grade martial arts movie, they have the Gun Kata :) "Through analysis of thousands of recorded gunfights, the Cleric has determined that the geometric distribution of antagonists in any gun battle is a statistically predictable element.
.... etc
By the rote mastery of this art, your firing efficiency will rise by no less than 120%. The difference of a 63% increase to lethal proficiency makes the master of the gun katas an adversary not to be taken lightly."
- Also, multiple regression for drug-running in Traffic.
wow. lots to take in. will have to check this stuff out
Here are a two:
Highly recommend Moneyball also
